8/11/2019 0 Comments Blast Off to cyberbullying!Today at our meeting we talked about Cyberbullying. If you are online and someone is mean to you tell an adult. If you have been bullied take a screenshot and report them. All the P6s created a Cyberbullying poster for their homework. It was really good getting to look at each others and talk about it.
If someone asks you for your password do not share it, NEVER SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH OTHER PEOPLE!!!! Never have apps or games you're too young for!!! Remember be safe on the internet. By Lorcan and Katie.

25/10/2019 0 Comments AllState cyber safetyA big thank you Allstate for their cyber safety workshop with our Primary 5s and LSC3 and 4 classes today. They delivered a great message on Stop, Think, Tell. The P5 children learnt how to stay safe online, thinking about:
•Friend or Pretend •Screen out the mean •Beware what you share Through the presentation and games the children increased their awareness of online safety and received a brilliant goodie bag at the end! A great session! Parents, you can chat with your child about what they learnt today by clicking on this link : https://www.allstate.com/cybersafetyforkids/parent-tips.aspx 25/10/2019 0 Comments Key Stage 2 online safety assemblyWe had a great Assembly yesterday from P5MML and P5LMA. They taught P5, P6 and P7 all about staying safe online! We loved their catchy song and eSafetysaurus certainly enjoyed dancing! The Digital Leaders introduced themselves to Key Stage 2 and we talked about what we do.
11/10/2019 0 Comments Our First assembly! The P3s did a brilliant assembly today and we had an important message for them after it. We introduced ourselves. We explained to them how important it is to stay safe online. We have a special code every month, our October Code is BEWARE WHAT YOU SHARE! We also introduced eSafetysaurus to the P1 classes and the P3s got a special photo. By Niamh and Leah, P7. 24/5/2019 0 Comments Screen Time.OUR E-SAFETY CODE FOR JUNE IS SCREEN TIME!! We made posters to put around the school for June’s code which is about Screen Time. The posters are meant to warn people about the dangers of staying online for too long but to also be able to play for a moderate amount of time. Some signs of staying too long online can be feeling moody, headache, flat battery, neck ache and feeling hungry. If your battery is really low, then you should know that you have been on your device for too long. Give your eyes a rest from screens [that also means TVs] If your device is too hot it means it has been on for too long and you will have to come off it. A few tips to spot Fake News :
Today we created our own fake news stories on https://www.fodey.com/generators/newspaper/snippet.asp and we all came up with different ideas. Someone wrote about football, someone wrote about free vbux on fortnite and about the school closing. Most of our stories you would believe but you have to be a detective to spot the obvious clues. We had loads of fun creating our own FAKE NEWS!!!!! Check them out for yourself! By Cora and Darragh 19/3/2019 0 Comments Jessie and friendsToday we were reviewing the new videos from Thinkuknow for P1-P3 children. https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/parents/jessie-and-friends-videos/ JESSIE AND FRIENDS Episode 1 Watching videos I think this video will help lots of P1s because they could get scared of lots of videos and need to know what to do. I’ve seen lots videos that could scare the living daylights of them. I think the song was very catchy and will help P1s understand what to do. The message is NEVER WATCH VIDEOS WITHOUT PERMISSION and TELL SOMEONE IF IT MAKES YOU FEEL FUNNY IN YOUR TUMMY. By Matthew. Epidsode 2 Sharing Pictures I think this video could help the P2s with their first phones or their parents phone because they could take a picture that they might think is funny, send it and the next day the whole school could know and make fun of them and they might feel sad. ALWAYS ASK FOR PERMISSION BEFORE SENDING ANYONE A PICTURE BECAUSE IT MIGHT BE MEAN OR MAKE PEOPLE SAD. By Roise Episode 3 Playing Games I think this will help the P3s understand the message In this video because it is in the format that they can relate and understand if it ever happens to them. The key message that is shown throughout the video is 'never talk to strangers' and 'never share your password' If something bad happens tell an adult : mum ,dad and a teacher or any one you trust. At the end of the video there is a very catchy song that they could relate to. They can learn the fun song and know what to do. Remember don't give out any details about yourself to people you don't know online. By Cora Pierce P7DA and Aimee Beck P5MH 1/2/2019 0 Comments Safer Internet day 2019Safer Internet Day is on Tuesday 5th February 2019. It's all about getting permission. Today we were making posters on PicCollage all about asking before we do things online. We went on safari and got some pictures and added them on the app. Then we thought about some good advice.
For example: asking can I upload your video on Instagram? Can I enter a competition to win an Xbox? Make sure you got permission before posting pictures online, if your friend does not like it you have to take it down. Make sure you don't post mean messages. Can I download an app?
