26/1/2018 0 Comments Beam Creative Internet Safety. On Tuesday we had a visit from Declan and Conor from BEAM. They talked to us about internet safety. We played 'four corners' where we were asked questions about internet safety and we had to go to the corner we thought was the correct answer. Conor set up one of our P6 pupils from Mr McCrory's class with a fake Facebook account. He made her a 74 year old woman and we had to determine whether it was okay or not to lie about your personal details on social media. Conor told us a true story about a young boy and girl and told us never to believe who people say they are online. Declan told us the pros and cons of Snapchat , Instagram , Facebook and Youtube. He told us to always have our Snapmaps on ghostmode and to never post pictures/videos of ourselves in our school uniforms because they could lead to trouble. At the end some children filled out a survey asking us questions about what we had learned at the session. We had a fabulous time!By Brogyn and Grace.
